As we reported previously here, the Headquarters Agreement between Italy and the Unified Patent Court was signed on 26 January 2024, cementing the third seat of the Central Division in Italy.

In preparation for Milan Central Division opening in late June 2024, the UPC Administrative Committee has now finalised the selection of three new judges, guided by the Advisory Committee’s 19 April 2024 recommendations on the best-qualified candidates. Their identities and the designated Presiding Judge will be revealed shortly.
