The EPO’s President has reported on the work of the Select Committee for the unitary patent, which held its third meeting  on 25/26 June 2013.  He noted that the EPO is aiming for the procedures for the post-grant phase of the unitary patent to be very similar to those of the EPO’s existing pre-grant phase, which will make it easier for current users and keep costs down.  He also reported that the EPO will shortly launch a website dedicated to the unitary patent, which will contain its documents and so enable the public to keep track of its work – we will include the website in our Useful links.  More details here.
