On 22 December 2017, Dario Pizzolante, the Coordinator of the IT Working Group, reported by email on its work on establishing the Unified Patent Court (UPC) IT system.  Developments in 2017 included the release of the sunrise version of the test site of the Case Management System (CMS) in October (reported here) and the interfacing of the UPC IT system with the EPO IT system.  In 2018, although some IT work can only be conducted when the Provisional Application phase starts, Mr Pizzolante reported that other work to prepare for the opening of the UPC will continue, including finalising  IT governance processes.
