The Preparatory Committee of the Unified Patent Court (UPC) has reported (here) that the Italian authorities have formally selected the second floor of the new Milan Courthouse (Via San Barnaba n. 50, Milan) as the location of the local division of the UPC, and the refurbishment will be completed by mid-June 2017. This follows the Italian Ministry of Justice’s press release on 7 October that this building would be used (here), and also the Senate’s approval on 18 October of draft legislation to enable Italy to ratify the UPC Agreement (here).
