Further steps towards a functioning Unified Patent Court were taken at the Preparatory Committee meeting on 10 July 2015 with progress being made on the Rules of Procedure, IT systems and the guidelines for provisional functioning of the UPC Agreement. Representatives from the Legal Framework working group and the Drafting Committee presented the 18th draft of the Rules of Procedure, and expected that a final set of the Rules should be ready in October 2015. The draft Protocol on the Provisional Application of the UPC Agreement was also finalised with signature also planned for October 2015. Following the outcome of the IT tender process, contracts have been awarded to T-Systems for hosting, Miggle for the website and Net Services Spa for the case management system.
