It is reported today on the Unified Patent Court (UPC) website that the legally qualified and technically qualified judges are participating this week in “Advanced preparatory training for UPC appointed judges”. The 5-day training in Budapest started yesterday and “aims at facilitating an in-depth understanding” of the UPC’s Rules of Procedure. This is the first time that all appointed UPC judges have had the opportunity to meet. As reported here, 34 legally qualified judges and 51 technically qualified judges had been appointed as at 19 October 2022, and in November vacancies for three more judges were advertised.
