EU Justice Ministers today reached agreement on the proposed changes to the Brussels I Regulation to make it compatible with the UPC. The final step in this thread of preparing for the UPC is for the European Parliament to agree on the proposal, and it expected that the Parliament’s Legal Affairs (JURI) Committee will vote on its report in February, with a final plenary vote in March 2014.  Commission press release.
