Major European countries will soon begin what are, perhaps, the most radical changes in the European patent system since at least the EPC. That is, the current system of national EP patents enforced in national courts will be replaced by a Unified Patent covering all participating countries and enforced in a Unified Patent Court system, whose decisions will be binding in all participating countries. The change will take place during a 7-year transition, during which time patent owners have an option to elect which system will apply to their patent rights. Choosing the optimal system is neither simple nor straightforward, but attending this webinar will make you better prepared for what lies ahead.
Detailed points of discussion will include:
– Practicalities: cost -proprietorship and licence issues
MBHB partner Daniel A. Boehnen and Bristows LLP partner Edward Nodder
