After ratifying the UPC Agreement on 6 August 2015 and depositing the legal instrument with the Council of the European Union on 28 August 2015, Portugal becomes the eighth country to complete the necessary legal procedures for ratification of the UPC Agreement.

With preparatory ratification moves being undertaken in many other UPC member states, we await, with interest, the updated projected start date of the Unified Patent Court in the Preparatory Committee’s Roadmap to be published in autumn 2015.
