The Unified Patent Court (UPC) has published a guide on how to create an account to access the CMS using strong authentication. As the guide states, in order to create an account the user must have a smart card or USB stick containing their authentication certificate. Regarding obtaining an authentication certificate, the UPC has previously published information on how to find a suitable provider of the two certificates required to access the CMS, i.e. an authentication certificate contained in a smart card or USB token and an electronic signature certificate, and FAQs on strong authentication, including how to test the certificates.
