The German Federal Minister of Justice is planning to submit “after the summer” a draft law on ratification of the UPC Agreement.  The Minister, Heiko Maas, delivered that news during a speech to the Federal Association of German Patent Attorneys.  He also announced plans for four local divisions of the UPC: based in Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Mannheim and Munich, and noted that Germany had now taken over the chairmanship of the working group on the Rules of Procedure of the UPC.
