The Preparatory Committee, responsible for undertaking the practical arrangements required for the establishment of the Unified Patent Court (training judges, setting-up IT infrastructure, preparing the Rules of Procedure etc), is to hold its first meeting on 26 March 2013 – within the hoped-for end of March deadline. All 25 signatory states to the Unified Patent Court agreement are to be invited and it appears likely that Poland and the Commission will also receive courtesy invitations.
