The CJEU will announce on 5 May 2015 its judgments in the two cases brought by Spain challenging the legality of Regulations 1257/12 and 1260/12 establishing the unitary patent system.  A decision to dismiss the challenges is widely anticipated; and whether by accident or design, the date chosen is the same as that for the next meeting of the UPC Preparatory Committee.
