The National Assembly, Bulgaria’s unicameral parliament, has today adopted the necessary legislation to authorise Bulgaria to ratify the UPC Agreement.  The ‘Bill on Ratification of the Agreement on a Unified Patent Court’ (here), as submitted by the Council of Ministers on 12 March 2016, was read and voted on in the 8 April session, prior to which it had received favourable reports from the parliamentary Committees on Legal Affairs, Budget and Finance, Economy Policy and Tourism, and European Affairs and Oversight of the European Funds.
