The Patents (Amendment) Rules 2016 (SI 2016/517) were made on 20 April 2016 and will come into force when the UPC Agreement comes into force.  They will amend the Patent Rules 2007 to make changes consequential to the amendments which will at that time be made to the Patents Act 1977 by SI 2016/388 (which will give effect to the UPC Agreement and EU legislation on the unitary patent).
